This certification underscores Ideal’s ongoing commitment to reducing its carbon footprint by implementing sustainable practices throughout the printing process.
For more than four decades, Ideal Printers Inc. has been a trusted, family-owned commercial printer based in St. Paul, Minnesota. The company specializes in high-quality offset and digital printing, serving clients across the Midwest with custom solutions that blend craftsmanship, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
To earn the Great Green Printer Certification, they completed a comprehensive and confidential compliance audit verifying adherence to all mandatory Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. But their efforts don’t stop at compliance—the company has adopted proactive green initiatives, including:
- Migrating to a process-less plate maker, a technology that eliminates chemical waste and water use from platemaking while reducing energy consumption, lowering maintenance needs, and improving overall efficiency.
- Offsetting 100% of paper usage. Since partnering with Print ReLeaf in September 2024, 16,611 trees have been planted to offset the 1,380,621 pounds of paper that have run through our presses in that time.
Ideal has been working toward this certification for the past year, continually investing in new technologies and training to ensure sustainable growth and continuous improvement.
